The playoffs consist of four classes with up to five rounds of play in each class. The number of teams determines the number of rounds in each class.

Please report to your League Director (Chris Vallecorsa, Girls Varsity League Director, 412-782-2861, cvallecors@comcast.net, or Pat Greb, Girls JV League Director, 412-531-2579, patgreb@comcast.net) as soon as you know if your team is one of the those that is eligible for the playoffs.
Sectional Tie-Breaker Playoff Games
- Played at a neutral floor arranged by the League Director
- Each team pays for 1 official ($32.00) before the game starts
- Host school keeps door and refreshment receipts
- Neutral floor admission - Adults: $3.00, Students: $1.00
- Winner of the sectional tie-breaker game should call the League Director immediately with the results
Regular Playoff Games
- For the 1st and 2nd round home games, the home coach must notify the League Director of the date and time of the game - the League Director will call and arrange for official assignments - the home team pays for the officials ($32.00 per official) before the game starts
- Coaches of the 1st and 2nd round winners should call the League Director (Chris Vallecorsa, Girls Varsity League Director, 412-782-2861, Pat Greb, Girls JV League Director, 412-531-2579) immediately after the game to report the score
- No games are to be scheduled during these rounds!!

Semi-Finals and Finals
- All Semi-Final and Final games are at Oakland Catholic High School
- JV Semi-Finals are Sunday, March 6. JV Finals are Monday, March 7
- Varsity Class B Semi-Finals are Wednesday, March 8; Varsity Class A Semi-Finals are Thursday, March 10. Varsity Finals are Sunday, March 13
League Awards
- Section 1st place team receives 1 Team Trophy and 15 Players Trophies
- Playoff Champion for each bracket receives 1 Team Trophy and 15 Individual Players Trophies
- Playoff Runner-Up for each bracket receives 1 Team Trophy and 15 Individual Players Trophies
- Only 1 set of Player Trophies per team are awarded to the Playoff Champion and the Runner-Up team
Coach and Team Decorum
- Playoff teams should be at the gym at least 20 minutes before the scheduled game tip-off time
- Coaches must remain seated during the games
- No verbal harassment of officials
- Female chaperons must be with the team at all times
- Coaches cannot step onto the playing floor (Exceptions: If a player is injured and only after the official calls the coach to the floor or at a timeout)
- Each team must assign an individual to prevent their fans from exhibiting any abusive behavior
