Committee Reports

Car Washes – Patty Loadman secured the car wash dates at Firestone for next year. The dates are May 7, June 18, July 16 ands September 10.

Lazarus Coupons – This will be a mandatory fundraiser for the Freshmen, JV and Varsity teams. Each player will need to sell 5 coupons. More coupons may be available if requested. Patty Loadman will distribute the coupons. The Lazarus coupon day is March 19.

Granny's Pizza Sale for 9th Graders – Each 9th grader is expected to sell 10 pizzas. Ginger Rodgers will distribute the sales brochures to the Freshmen team. This fundraiser is mandatory for the Freshmen team and optional for the JV and Varsity teams.

Banquet – Dayna Hester reported that she was considering two site for the banquet, Valley Brook Country Club and the Hilton at South Pointe. The Hilton is considerably cheaper and others in attendance reported that they thought the facility was more than adequate. A possible date for the banquet is April 3rd.

It was suggested that a 9th grade parent be involved with the Banquet so someone is experienced in planning the event in future years.

Senior Night - Someone is needed to head the committee for Senior Night. Those interested should contact Patty Loadman or Darlene Gratton

Miscellaneous Notes and Suggestions

Cheerleaders should be invited to all the games next year to bring in a larger crowd. If the High School cheerleaders are unavailable, cheerleaders from the local elementary and parochial schools should be invited - perhaps several schools per game.

We should invite the girls who have been singing the National Anthem at the Varsity home games to the Annual Banquet as a thank you.

We should pass out the extra Community Day magnets to players parents to sell to family and friends.

Darlene noted that she had heard many comments about how well behaved the players were from the parents of young children who came to the Mt. Lebanon game. Children under 12 were admitted free to that game and there was a large crowd.

New Business
