Bethel Park Lady Hawks Basketball Booster's Association Meeting
April 11, 2005

Call to Order

President Tom Loadman called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM.

Reading of Minutes

Rich Unger read the meeting minutes for the March 7, 2001 meeting. The minutes were approved.

Financial Update

Scott Krebs provided a budget summary. The Booster’s will start the next season with just under $12,000 in the treasury. Scott has already paid $750 for the Summer League fees. There was an anonymous donation of $3000 and the Cannon Family donated $50.

Notes from the Coach

Coach Burke informed Tom that the Lady Hawks will compete in the Altoona Christmas Tournament this year. Dates are yet to be determined. The Altoona Booster Association will pay for lodging for the team. Tom would also like to rent a Lenzner Bus and will ask the athletic director if the school is willing to pay the cost.

Committee Reports

Granny's Pizza Sales and  Lazarus Coupons  – It was decided that these two fundraisers will be sold by the 9th grade team.

Banquet – - The banquet was a great success and Tom thanked Dana for all her hard work, even though she was unable to attend. Dana also wanted to thank all of the committee members for their participation in making the banquet a success. Dana reported that we came in $100 under budget for the JV and Varsity Banquet and the Freshman Banquet.

CMU Survey - The CMU Survey will be held some time in August. Every player is responsible for bringing 5 people to the survey. This fundraiser can generate up to $4000 and it is very important that everyone participates.

TIP-OFF Tournament - Butler will not be returning. Hempfield and West Mifflin are returning and the coach is currently trying to get Gateway to participate. The Boys are also trying to get four teams to participate in the tournament. We will split the proceeds 50/50.

New Business

The first car wash will be May 7th. All girls are encouraged to attend.

John Bielich also suggested we may be able to participate with the Boys Team in a March Madness Fundraiser. He will get more information later.

The meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM. The next meeting will be held May 9th at 7:30 PM in Room 1104 at the High School.
