Bethel Park Lady Hawks Basketball Booster's Association Meeting
October 3, 2005

Call to Order

President Tom Loadman called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

Reading of Minutes

Rick Poploski reviewed the meeting minutes from the June 6, 2005 meeting. The minutes were approved.

Financial Update

Scott Krebs was unable to attend the October Meeting. Tom Loadman provided a budget summary for for Scott. Our current balance is approximately $13,200 after $900 was paid to HealthTrax for a Trainer and $35 for a gift basket for Sam Unger after her surgery. Tom also summarized the fundraisers for the year. Car Wash $2700, Golf Outing $4148, and magnet sales $125.

Notes from the Coach

Coach Burke and Patty Loadman cleaned out the equipment room and located several new gym bags. We will order 4 new ones for a total of 20. Coach also informed Tom that the girls would be fitted for new shoes in the coming week. This will include Varsity, JV and the Freshman Team.

Committee Reports

Fundraising - The Freshman Team will be asked to sell Granny’s Pizza – 10 items, and will also sell 7 Lazarus Coupons.

Program Adds - Envelopes for the Program Adds were distributed to all Boosters in attendance.

Macy Coupons - Macy Coupons were also distributed. Each girl is required to sell 5 coupons at a cost of $5 each for a total of $25. The coupons are each valued at $10 off each $20 purchase. Rick Poploski took the remaining coupons and will distribute them to the girls whose parents were not in attendance.

Promotion Night - Tom L.and Rick P. will chair the Promotion Night Events. We would like to have promotion or sponsor night at the girls’ home games. This would be to recognize the different girls’ basketball teams – The Catholic Grade School Teams, the Rec league Teams, Middle School Teams and the Travel Teams. We are trying to have free admission for the girls as long as an adult accompanies them or their team.

New Business

Coach’s Clinic will be October 29th from 9 am to 1 pm at the high school.

The team will be staying overnight at the Butler Tournament on December 2nd.

The meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM. The next meeting will be held November 7th at 7:30 PM in Room 1104.
