This year marks the 34th Anniversary of the OLSH 7th and 8th Grade Tip-Off Tournament and, once again, we hope that you will begin your season with us. We will again be hosting two separate divisions, a Varsity “A” division and a Varsity “B” division (B division teams may choose to play up). On Championship Monday, December 2, we will crown the winners of both divisions. We’re excited to have you, your team, families and friends help us bring in the season. Throughout the years, this tournament has offered a lot of exciting memories for teams, cheerleading squads, and basketball fans. We hope to continue those special memories. Seneca Valley will be hosting the Coach S Boys Basketball Shootout for 7th, 8th, and 9th grades on December 6, 7, 13, and 14. The shootout is a 3 game guarantee. Entry fee is $200 per team. See the attached flyer - Flyer

Camps


Each year CYO recommends summer overnight basketball camps conducted in a safe environment. We have examined and evaluated these camps for Cost, Expertise in Instruction, Amount of Games, Tournaments, Improvement, Facilities, and 24 Hour around-the-clock supervision. The camps on the attached flyer have continued to be approved and recommended by the CYO as overnight camps that have the highest level of skill development that will improve each individual to their fullest potential and prepare them to be a future High School player. The recommended camps are listed as the best instructional camps concentrating on the fundamentals of basketball. These camps have proven to be conducted in a safe environment with around the clock supervision and are directed and staffed by caring adults.  - CYO Approved Camps

Scrimmage Requests

St. Bede Varsity (7th grade) and JV (5th grade) B boys teams looking for games in November - We will play in Diocesan B, so either Diocesan A sized schools' B teams or Diocesan B teams would work well. We can host on: Sat. Nov. 23 - Varsity Boys only this day; Sat. Nov. 30; Sat. Dec. 7; Interested in away games as well; If you are interested, please email Chris Bandurski at cbandurski@hotmail.com.

St Louise de Marillac has 2 varsity developmental teams consisting of all 7th graders on one team and 7th/8th graders on another. We have open Saturdays available to play back to back games at St Louise at 3:30 and 4:45 pm. If a team is interested in playing 2 games back to back then this could work out great to give them some playing time for teams that are travelling. We have all upcoming Saturdays starting in December besides the 28th. We can book back to back if you want or just one of the time slots.

Instructional Tournaments


Butler Catholic School is hosting a Boys Developmental (3rd & 4th Grade Teams) tournament. February 22 thru March 6 2020; The tournament will be pool play; Three games guaranteed; Teams will be matched according to grade/skill level; There will be two 1st place winners and two 2nd place winners for each grade level; First and second place winners will receive player trophies and a team trophy! Sacred Heart Elementary School in Shadyside is looking for volunteer basketball coaches for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. We are looking for a JV Girls Head Coach, as well as assistant/B teams coaches in the girls and boys programs. Diocesan clearances required. St. Benedict the Moor School in the Hill District is looking for a volunteer coach for the upcoming 2019-2020 winter basketball season. We are looking for a Girls JV Head Coach/Varsity Assistant.
