| Northside Catholic Athletic Association – 44th Annual JV Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament - Thursday February 23, 2012 through Sunday March 18, 2012; Northside Catholic Athletic Association (formerly St Cyril) invites you to our 44th annual Junior Varsity Basketball Tournament. We will again this year have brackets open in Boys A, B, and Girls classifications. Class “A” schools with “B” JV teams are welcome to attend. All schools in the diocese having JV basketball teams are invited to participate. PIAA referees will officiate each game. The tournament entrance fee is $150.00 per team, and entries with payments must be received by February 8th, 2012. Our tournament will also provide these activities as part of our event: All-Star Tournament games on the final day of the tournament for selected players, A Hot Shot Shooting Contest, and a Foul Shooting Contest for all players in the tournament (participation fee required). | St. Sebastian is proud to host our 7th Annual Varsity B Boys Basketball Tournament; March 3 to March 16; Elidgibility: the tournament is limited to varsity B players only, No Diocesan roster varsity or junior varsity players are permitted to play. We are expanding our tournament to 12 teams this year and have three brackets of four teams each in a round robin format. Every team will play the other three teams in their section. The top two teams from each section based on win-loses, head to head tie breakers etc., will move on to the next round - 6 teams total. The top two teams overall get a bye. The other four teams play to determine the semi finals; $175 per team, which includes a "player of the game" metal for every team for every game selected by the coach. No one player can win twice so everyone has a chance to win. Team trophies for first and second place and team, plaques for the first three finishers. Half of the teams will get at least four games - some teams will get six games.
