League Notices

ATTENTION ALL GIRL'S COACHES (JV AND VARSITY) - The JV Semi Finals will be on March 7th and the JV Finals will be on March 8th, both at Oakland Catholic High School. The Varsity Semi-Finals will be on March 10th and March 11th and the Varsity Finals will be on March 14th, all at Oakland Catholic High School. The playoff brackets are outlined on this website under the heading "2010 Playoffs". You can see which teams are playing where and what time. The Varsity Class A champion will participate in the State Tournament which begins on March 19th in Erie, PA

Tournaments

Butler Catholic’s "Last Chance Shoot Out" - March 14 to March 17th - Butler Catholic is sponsoring a Varsity Girl’s “B” Team tournament for those teams that have not won anything this year. If your team has had some struggles this year and would like one last chance to end on a positive note this is the tournament for you. It will be a single elimination, 2 game guaranteed format with team trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Cost is $125. Email Jake Friel (Jake.Friel@bc3.edu) for details.

St. Katharine Drexel School is looking for Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity "B" teams to attend their annual March Tournament. The Girls Junior Varsity Tournament begins March 5 and ends March 9. The Girls Varsity Tournament begins March 13 and ends March 16. Both tournaments are double elimination format. Entry Fee is $135.00 per team, (up to 12 players, 2 coaches - add $5 per additional player/coach). Make checks payable to St. Katharine Drexel School, and mail to SKDS, 7001 Baptist Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102. All games played at Nativity Gym in South Park, PA. St. Sylvester's Sports Club cordially invites you to participate in our Spring 2009 - 4th and 5th Grade Basketball Tournament to be held from Friday, March 12th to Wednesday, March 31st. Each year the CYO Recreation Dept recommends summer basketball camps that will improve each individual player and prepare them to some day be a High School Player, while at the same time are conducted in a safe environment - Recommended Camps

Summer Leagues

Our Lady of Grace is looking for schools interested in playing in a Summer League to be held at Our Lady of Grace school in Scott Twp, PA. We are looking for girls and boys Varsity and JV teams. Tryouts

The Pittsburgh Pride AAU basketball organization will begin open gyms for our girls teams on Sunday (February 7, 2010) from 11am until 12pm. The open gyms will continue each Sunday in February (not necessarily at the same time as this week). All of the open gyms will be held at the Word of God gym in Swissvale, PA. Tryouts for the teams will take place in late February or early March. The Pittsburgh Pride will have teams for girls in grades 6 through 8.
